Mission Statement

My life has been spent creating and is fueled by my passion for the physical life of the body.  With the fusion of imaginative creativity and an in-depth understanding for organization of the body, I have cultivated a unique structured chaos in my practice and artistic work.  Working and training professionally throughout the United States and London, England has strengthened my insight of two very different worlds of theatre.  However, every new project holds a valuable learning experience, and I continually find that the students and performers I work with are the greatest teachers of all.

Working as an actor, dancer, choreographer, director, designer, and musician has greatly influenced my current practice as a movement teacher and movement director. While understanding classical movement such as commedia, mask work, and period-styles my current work also emphasizes using movement to define characters through a focus on natural movement.  Giving students and actors the ability to define the physical world of a character can add three-dimensions to their inner life.

I use every element of the external body to awaken and strengthen a performers understanding of the potential that lies in the intricate internal world they each possess.
